HAPPY EARTH DAY!

Sunday, April 22 is Earth Day. This is a time to stop and think about the impact our lives have on the environment and on the society surrounding us. Maybe you can find a way to give back…

How are you going to celebrate it?  Here are some TIPS
  • Take some time on Earth Day — or any day — to enjoy your favorite wild place
  • I. and L., we will participate on the Rock’n’Roll Marathon Madrid … ok, only the 10k 🙂
  • L. will support us from sunny Italy 🙂
  • R. travelled to Barcelona for the weekend by train ( instead of flying), which is environmental friendlier
  • A. will make an excursion to a national park in AUS
  • Implement one of the responsible activities we spoke about in the Responsible Consuming workshop
  • Follow us on Twitter:  re_spons_e

Millennium Development Goal

TARGET 7 C
Halve, by 2015, the proportion of the population without
sustainable access to safe drinking water and basic
sanitation

  • The world is on track to meet the drinking water target, though much remains to be done in some regions
  • Accelerated and targeted efforts are needed to bring drinking water to all rural households
  • Safe water supply remains a challenge in many parts of the world
  • With half the population of developing regions without sanitation, the 2015 target appears to be out of reach
  • Disparities in urban and rural sanitation coverage remain daunting
  • Improvements in sanitation are bypassing the poor
